Our Client SOS Children’s Villages InternationalBranch office Skopje is looking for a qualified and motivated IT professional for the position Cyber Security Advisor.

Location: Skopje/ North Macedonia

As a non-governmental social development organization, SOS Children’s Villages International helps children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and advocacy for children’s rights.

Purpose of the position

The Cyber Security Advisor will be in charge to identify security risks within the IT services and related infrastructure, help in close cooperation with the IT security management team with mitigation or remediation and perform reporting/presentations at defined levels of the organization.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Monitor advanced threat management platforms and security information and event management solutions like SentinelOne and FortiSIEM and take appropriate mitigation measures
  • Implement and support further development of technical and organizational measures in line with GDPR requirements
  • Review daily business- related IT security requests
  • Advises teams with advanced IT security knowledge
  • Conduct IT risk analysis (predictive, incident based) and identify actionable remediation measures on premise as well as cloud based
  • Contribution to further development of strong and effective IT security concepts
  • Continuous development of IT-Security related training materials and awareness campaigns
  • Conduct internal IT security auditing / co-auditing of existing IT security structures and procedures on location or remotely
  • Contributes with knowledge and expertise to both internal and external compliance procedures and auditors during security assessments and security reviews
  • Investigation of potential or actual attacks / incident response, defining counter measures and communication with responsible product / asset owners

Requirements

  • Master or bachelor degree in IT, Information Security, Information Management Systems or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Information Security Management
  • Strong background on GDPR, certification as CISA, CISM or CISSP is desirable
  • Project management experience is desirable
  • Fluent in English, knowledge in German is an asset
