Wind turbine service technician (m/f)

Location: primarily Gevgeljia area, occasionally Stip area

Our client, Siemens Gamesa (https://www.siemensgamesa.com/en-int )is a leading supplier of wind power solutions to customers all over the globe. A key player and innovative pioneer in the renewable energy sector, they have installed over 107 GW in 75 countries. For their wind farms in North Macedonia, Siemens Gamesa is looking for a qualified and motivated candidate at the position of Wind turbine service technician.

Responsibilities:

• Performing planned annual services according to procedures and without supervision
• Monitoring common and frequent failures, eliminating them in cooperation with technical support
• Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Leading a small team
• Responsibility for working in a safe manner
• Keeping records, documenting and reporting in accordance with company regulations
• Conducting an analysis of the state of operation of wind power plants and wind turbines for the purpose of preventive action

Requirements:

• Secondary technical school, preference is given to electrical and mechanical engineering, alternatively college or university from same area
• Relevant work experience of more than 2 years
• Professional experience – maintenance of electrical (automation, energy) and hydraulic systems. Finding your way in professional documentation (electronic schematics, etc.) is desirable
• Advanced knowledge of spoken and written English – candidate must be able to independently communicate in English
• Very good IT skills – MS Windows, Office 365 apps
• Ability to work in difficult conditions – work at height, high voltage, low and high temperatures
• Valid driving license B category
• Valid passport
• Meticulousness and self-initiative in work
• Ability and desire for continuous learning
• Willingness to travel occasionally to foreign countries within Europe (trainings and similar)
